Battery Streak joins Soteria Battery Innovation Group Consortium

Camarillo, CA – (March 24, 2022)  Battery Streak Inc. proudly joins a consortium of global innovators to develop safer lithium-ion batteries.

Soteria’s Consortium is working together to bring safe batteries to the world.

“Battery Streak’s advanced materials offer fast charging without generating much heat. This material does not have thermal runaway or dendrite issues making it a safer alternative to conventional lithium-ion batteries”

“Battery Streak’s advanced materials offer fast charging without generating much heat. This material does not have thermal runaway or dendrite issues making it a safer alternative to conventional lithium-ion batteries” says David Grant, President of Battery Streak. He continues “We are excited to collaborate with industry peers and leaders to bring the reality of safe and fast next-generation lithium-ion batteries to market. Battery Streak is testing these technologies to assess compatibility, as well as safety and performance data.”

Brian Morin, Ph.D., CEO of Soteria Battery Innovation Group adds “…fast charging without generating heat will help to stabilize batteries and improve safety. We look forward to integrating their technology with our consortium members who are seeking improved safety and performance.”

Battery Streak will meet with the Soteria Battery Innovation Group during the International Battery Seminar in Orlando, FL, on March 28 and will be exhibiting at booth #609. Dan Alpern, VP Marketing, will be presenting “Impact of Fast Charging on Consumer Electronics” at the event on Thursday, March 31 at 10:05 am.

About Battery Streak
Battery Streak was founded in 2017 to commercialize material technology that allows lithium-ion batteries to charge in approximately 10 minutes. The batteries utilizing Battery Streak patented materials charge extremely fast, have a very long cycle life, and eliminate many thermal issues compared to conventional lithium-ion batteries.

Battery Streak has been awarded a National Science Foundation (NSF) Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) grant to conduct research and development (R&D) work on nano-particulate metal oxide electrodes for fast-charging lithium-ion batteries specifically to develop a Cobalt free cathode.
